Proposed Big Stone transmission project
Transmission upgrades or new construction are needed to meet the growing electric demand in the region and to maintain reliability.
The Big Stone transmission project is designed to deliver the electricity generated by the proposed Big Stone II power plant, as well as future potential future renewable and other energy to customers in the region.
Economical and environmentally responsible alternatives are currently being studied.
